Supervisor Conway called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.                                                      Call to Order

Also present were: Zabicki, Steinke, Rahm & Braden.

 

Rahm led the Pledge of Allegiance

 

Sheriffs’ report given by Deputy Tim Ganus.

Bret Witkowski, Stevensville Village Manager & Chairman of the Board of

County Commissioners was present and announced his candidacy for

Berrien County Treasurer.

Rahm moved, Braden seconded to approve the bills as presented;                                             Bills

General Fund $34,402.64; Building Fund $19,552.56; Liquor Fund $376.78;

Sewer Fund $32,139.45; Water Fund $14,868.00; Ambulance $8,948.51.

December 15th, 2003 Regular Meeting

 

 

 

RESOLUTION;                     Oak Grove Walk                                                                   Resolution

                                                                                                                                                Oak Grove

The following resolution was offered by Zabicki, seconded by Conway  .                       Walk

 

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the New Buffalo Township Board,

in order to bring to a completion the Water main extension in Sturgeon Beach

and Marquette Road, agrees to cap off the 6 inch water line on Oak Grove

Walk and authorizes the Sturgeon Beach Homeowners association to remove

the fire hydrant on Oak Grove Walk.

 

FURTHERMORE, New Buffalo Township agrees to install a two inch water

line to accommodate the three homeowners on Oak Grove Walk.

Steinke moved, Zabicki seconded to accept the resignation of Chuck Heit                                 Constable

as Constable of New Buffalo Township.

The following resolution was offered by Braden, seconded by Conway.

 

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the New Buffalo Township Board,

in order fulfill the duties of the Township Board on a timely basis.

 

WHEREAS, THE TOWNSHIP BOARD has and Enforcement Officer

who is duly authorized to enforce the laws of the Township and issue

citations when needed,

 

WE THE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF NEW BUFFALO, hereby move to

discontinue the position of Constable for New Buffalo Township.
